HONEY PRODUCTION IN MALAWI

The business model is that it harvest honey from beehives, processed and packed in small bottles ready for market. It is a registered through Mtende Foundation and is an environmental friendly with socially beneficial. Livingstonia Beekeepers Enterprises, in cooperation with Mtende Foundation, provides local farmers, especially women with fruit tree nurseries and beehives, to facilitate the production of honey and other bee related products and create local economic empowerment. By creating ecosystem services in the upland area of Livingstonia, this enterprise not only provides services for better rural livelihoods, but also supports the conservation of natural resources for the restoration of biodiversity.
